Who is this “Scott” guy?
Scott’s path began at twelve when he won a local art contest by painting a green cow. Critics (other kids) laughed at his masterpiece, and his parents advised him to concentrate on important things like golf. Is a green cow that bad of a thing?
Over the subsequent years Scott’s art took a turn inward - boundless, self expressive, abstractive painting. An interesting private world of happiness and meditation. A world of possibility. Scott has become both teacher and student to himself.
Bolstered by long walks and fueled by great coffee, good vodka and Tylenol, he digs into his paintings. Scott locks everyone, including himself, out of his workstation. Not deterred by “proper technique” or “preferred methods” he couples sweeping movements with periods of Zen-like quiet, and never fails to leave his studio covered with paint. Paintings receive constant interventions before they escape his studio. Fretting over green cows is long past.
